First an apology, we were here to race and not take photos. That will become very apparent shortly. We were also racing at our limit basically the entire time. It was a struggle to even pull out my iPhone and take a poorly framed shot.
Wow where to begin. After skiing the PDG in 2022 I knew that I wanted to do more racing in Europe. Our friends Ben and CJ had done Pierra Menta in 2023 and 2024. They had so many good things to say about it that it seemed the obvious next choice.

Skimo is just fun, it's fun here in America and it's sure fun as hell over in it's home, the Alps. The competition is stiff, the courses excellent, and there are crowds of spectator absolutely going wild. What's not to love about that? Sam Lien was game to give it a shot with me, the Pierra is a two person team race.
